Professional Work

I am working in the Research Department of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft in the field of assisted driving. I am especially interested in problems concerning the improvement of vehicular traffic at traffic light intersections. In this context I develop a acceleration controller, which uses wireless communication with the infrastructure.

Research Interests

My research interests lie in the environment of my work at Volkswagen. I am interested in optimizing both the individual behaviour of cars at intersections and timings of signal phases. To do so I use techniques of Model-Predictive Control and study Mixed-Integer Linear Programs.

Curriculum Vitae

I studied computer-mathematics and mathematics at the Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg. Afterwards I joined Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft for developing software for the engine control unit. Since 2013 I am working on my PhD-thesis.
